Llewellyn is no new face in the ever growing field of sports psychology around teams and athletes. A Knoxville, Tenn., native, Dr. Llewellyn was instrumental in the development of Sports Psychology programs at Old Dominion University, Minnesota State University-Mankato and Florida International University – and pioneered sports psychology within MLB in 1975. He is the founder and president of the Center for Winning Performance and has authored five books related to sports psychology.

Dr. Llewellyn is a frequent guest on radio and TV and gained international recognition when he was instrumental when he was instrumental in turning around the 1991 season and career of Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz, which led to the Braves appearance in the 1991, 1992, 1995, 1996, and 1999 World Series, a record 14 consecutive National League Division titles, a World Championship in 1995 and the Cy Young to John Smoltz in 1996. Dr. Jack Llewellyn has also work with Paul O’neill of the New York Yankees, American League batting Champion in 1994.

His sports client have also included the New York Mets, the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds, Montreal Expos, Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros and NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

He has worked with NFL players, professional boxers, PGA, LPGA, golfers, Tennis players, NBA’s Atlanta Hawks, NASCAR racing teams and drivers and Olympic athletes.

The Center for Winning Performance is a "mental training" organization dedicated to helping athletes and other high performers develop and keep a winning attitude to fully reach their potential, both profesionally and personally.

This center was founded by Jack Llewellyn, Ph.D., a world renowned sports psychology consultant, author, professor, business coach and speaker.
